Maintenance & Care

Simple care guidance to help WPC decking, cladding, fencing, and garden products maintain their appearance over time.

General Product Aftercare

Guansen WPC products are designed to reduce maintenance compared with traditional timber. They do not usually require painting, staining, or sealing, but regular cleaning helps maintain the surface appearance and reduce dirt buildup.

Wash Occasionally

Clean the surface with water, mild soap, and a soft brush when dirt, dust, or outdoor debris builds up. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning to avoid residue on the surface.

Keep the Surface Clear

Remove leaves, pollen, soil, and other organic debris from the surface and gaps. This helps reduce staining, mold growth, and water buildup in outdoor environments.

Clean Spills Promptly

Food, oil, grease, and drink spills should be cleaned as soon as possible. Use warm soapy water and a soft brush. Avoid harsh solvents unless confirmed suitable for the product surface.

Maintain Drainage and Airflow

Good drainage and ventilation help WPC products perform better outdoors. Avoid long-term standing water, blocked gaps, or wet debris trapped under decking or fencing areas.

Avoid Harsh Cleaning Methods

Most stains can be easily removed from WPC products so its best to avoid metal brushes, aggressive sanding, strong solvents, and high-pressure washing at close range. For pressure washing, follow product-specific guidance and test carefully first.
